We are voting on the bargaining proposals formed by our Provincial Negotiating Team. This is a group of elected grassroots ONA members from across the province (something to think about if you're ever interested in joining the negotiations team provincially or locally in the future! It's members like you and I who form the proposals and bargain with the employers!) We provided feedback on the things we felt needed to be proposed and bargained on. The team created the proposals.
On November 6, 2024, there are 2 meetings (you only need to join 1 of them) where you will be presented with the proposals AND you can vote on them before they go to the bargaining table! This is the first time in ONA's history with this level of transparency and input into bargaining. Your ONA55 team highly suggests you attend and take part in this process!
Hospital Members: Registration for the hospital voting on bargaining demands webinars closes on Friday, November 1 at 4 p.m. ET. Register now for one of two ONA webinars where you can vote on your bargaining demands.
Important: There are four mandatory fields that must be completed for your registration to be accepted: your name, ONA ID, hospital name and personal email address. If you do not know your ONA ID, please visit Access ONA to obtain it.
Late registrations will not be accepted.
SPEAKING OF BARGAINING..... You know what makes us strong? You. Me. Us. We are ONA. When we stand together in support of our bargaining teams - it gives us more strength at the bargaining table. What might just be a group of people sitting around a table is certainly viewed differently when 68000 nurses and HCP's are standing with their bargaining teams! There are a series of meetings with the Bargaining Action Team that is teaching Grassroots members how to organize effectively and how to engage our colleagues and move each other to action. If you're interested in joining this Action Team please contact your BUP, Steph will send you more information! The next BAT meeting is October 10 at 1930 until 2100. We are seeking more members to join this as Patric, Steph, Michelle, Diego and the ONA55 team will need all the help we can get to reach members across the hospital.

We will be sending the Have A Say Questionnaire out to you by the end of this month and will give you until January to get your bargaining requests in.
We also have some pledges that we will be socializing around along with some bracelets we are hoping you will wear to show support for bargaining. They say "UNITED TO WIN" on them.. and although it may seem like something small - small things still have a big impact when we all wear them. That catches the attention of the employer, and potentially the OHA..
